Hub of student life since 1937. Originally the Students' Activity Building, renamed for John Houston Squires (class of 1905). Houses the Hokie Grill, meeting rooms, theaters, and student org offices.

- •Squires was built as a PWA (Public Works Administration) project during the Depression.
- •The 2003 renovation more than doubled its footprint from the original 1937 building.
