Card Sort Maker

Card sorts usually mean paying for a research platform or improvising with sticky notes, neither of which is quick when you just want to test how people group things.

What it does

Create a card sort for IA research, feature prioritization, or team alignment, then sort it yourself or send a link and let participants sort for you.

Currently

Live and free with no signup to start. Define your cards and categories, sort them yourself, or share a link so participants run their own open or closed sorts. Results aggregate across everyone who sorted, so you can see where groupings agree and where they split. A PDF export is gated behind an email.

How I built it

I built this because card sorting is one of the highest-leverage research moves there is, and it should not require a paid platform to run a quick one. You define the cards, decide whether it is open or closed, and either sort it yourself or send the link out. The decision that mattered most was making shared participant sorts the default path, not an upsell: the aggregation view, where you see how everyone grouped things and where they disagreed, is the whole point of the exercise.
