Light, well-draining soil with some compost; pH 6.2–6.8.
Keep evenly moist; about 1 in/week. Heat and dry soil send it straight to flower.

Direct sow; it has a taproot and resents transplanting. Succession-sow every 2–3 weeks. Let it bolt and the dried seeds are coriander, which also self-sows for next year.
Good with Spinach, Lettuce, Pea, Basil. Keep apart from Fennel.
