Bright, indirect
The brightest indirect light you can give it, ideally near a window with some gentle direct sun. Too little light makes branches droop and thin.
Every 1–2 weeks, adjusting for warmth and light.
A well-draining, slightly acidic mix; potting soil with peat and sand or perlite.
A sturdy pot with drainage; it gets tall and top-heavy, so weight helps.
Every 2–3 years; it grows slowly indoors and dislikes frequent disturbance.
Difficult indoors. It is grown from seed, and cuttings rarely form a proper upright leader.
Toxic to pets if eaten.
