A feathery, clumping palm that brings soft tropical height to a bright room. Thirsty and sensitive to neglect.

Bright, indirect
Bright indirect light near a south or west window, with harsh midday sun filtered. Too little light thins it out; too much direct sun scorches the fronds.
Every 5–7 days in growth, less in winter. It dislikes both drying out fully and sitting in water.
Well-draining potting mix with peat or coco coir and perlite to hold even moisture.
A pot with a drainage hole.
Every 2–3 years. It dislikes root disturbance, so repot gently in spring only when crowded.
Grown from seed, or by carefully dividing the clump, though division stresses the plant.
Non-toxic to cats and dogs.
