Medium light
Bright indirect light brings out variegation, but it adapts to medium light a few feet from a window. Keep out of harsh direct sun, which scorches the leaves.
Every 5–10 days in growth, less in winter. Wilting means thirsty; mushy yellow stems mean too wet.
Standard well-draining potting mix with added perlite for aeration.
Any pot with a drainage hole.
Every 1–2 years, or when roots fill the pot. Repot in spring.
Cut below a node and root in water 2–3 weeks, then pot up. Roots form readily.
Toxic to pets if eaten.
